O-rings
An O-ring seal is a means of preventing unwanted leakage or loss of fluid or gas (i. e. media generally). The O-ring is the most popular form of seal as it is simple to install and needs little installation space. Given correct grooving and material choice, the seal can be used for a very long time within the rubber's temperature limits both as a fixed and as a moving part.
