GDS Static Seals

GDS is type of static seal designed to replace traditional O-rings, offering improved performance and durability in hydraulic applications. These seals, made from Guarnitec's proprietary polyurethane material "Tecnolan", feature a distinct profile that ensures excellent sealing under high pressure of up to 500 bar without the risk of rolling and tearing that O-rings are prone to. GDS seals perform both dynamic and static sealing functions, exhibit high resistance to abrasion, extrusion and low deformation values, thus ensuring long-term tightness and service life, and are very easy to mount.

Being suitable for various hydraulic drives and steering systems where both static and dynamic sealing are required, GDS are widely used in the production of hydraulic cylinders, and are ideal for hydraulic equipment in presses, forklifts, mobile hydraulic equipment, and mining applications.
